The Save Lucy Committee, Inc. is a completely self funded non-profit organization. We rely solely on sales in our retail and online gift shop, tours through Lucy, and donations for our existence. In addition there are many ways you can help Lucy the Elephant's survival.

Dedicated on October 28, 1886, the Statue of Liberty celebrated her 126th birhtday this year. Lucy was built in 1881.

James V. Lafferty’s idea of an animal-shaped building was innovative and in order to protect his original idea, Lafferty applied for and received a patent from the U.S. Government.
