Rules & Guidelines

1. 1. All participants must be amateur bakers.  Participants cannot be formally trained bakers, earn their primary income from baking, or sell their baked goods professionally or commercially.
   2. Participants may enter a maximum of one item per category of competition only.
   3. All entries must be homemade.  No store-bought or boxed mixes are permitted.
   4. All entries must be prepared/made by the participant in whose name they are registered under.
   5. The MAIN ingredient as defined by the category of competition, must be natural, using only real apples and/or pumpkin.  No artifical flavorings or extracts to replicate or imitate the flavor of the MAIN ingredients of apple and/or pumpkin may be used.
   6. All entries must include a detailed recipe with the following pieces of information:    The Title of the Baked Good, a list of ALL of the ingredients used, and a complete set of detailed instructions on how to make it.  (Please note that while it is not required, we kindly ask that you state whether your entry contains any commonly known allergens such as eggs, dairy, wheat, nuts, etc.)  Please do not include your name on the recipe as the judges will reference the recipe during their evaluation of the entries.
   7. All entries must be fresh and dropped off between 10:00AM and 12:00PM (noon) on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 at Lucy’s Gift Shop currently located at 9219 Atlantic Avenue, Unit 5 (the intersection of Atlantic & Washington Avenues).  Any entries received after the 12:00PM deadline will be disqualified.  When dropping off your baked good, please indicate whether the item has any specific storage requirements such as refrigeration to maintain proper food safety recommendations.

9. The final decision of the winners will be determine by the judges and announced at 2:00PM on Saturday,October 18th, 2025.  Winners need not be present at the time of the announcement and will be notified by a member of the Lucy Staff.
